Other CPAP cleaners use ozone, why doesn’t the Lumin?

Unlike other CPAP cleaners such as SoClean or VirtuClean, the Lumin does not use ozone to disinfect. Instead, the makers of the Lumin chose to utilize the powerful germicidal properties of UV light.

The Lumin is a totally different way of cleaning your CPAP’s equipment. Unlike the standard hose hook up and then flood of activated oxygen, the Lumin requires you to disassemble the pieces of your CPAP’s equipment that you will be cleaning and place them in a light chamber for sanitization. Once the quick cleaning cycle is complete, you will be able to utilize all of the freshly disinfected CPAP gear immediately.
